Recipe:
Festive Brie Christmas Trees

by Blu

A super easy, no-cook holiday appetizer that looks adorable on the table! These Festive Brie Christmas Trees are quick to prepare and perfect for holiday gatherings, potlucks, or a Christmas Eve spread. In this version, creamy brie is paired with crunchy sticks, sweet honey and crunchy pistachios, but you can easily customize them with your favorite toppings.

Ingredients

  • 1 Wheel of brie cheese or camembert
  • Pretzel sticks or cracker sticks
  • Honey (enough for coating)
  • Chopped pistachios (or other nuts, optional)
Instructions

Prepare the brie: cut the wheel of brie in half horizontally, so that each layer has some rind intact. Then slice each half into 6 or 8 equal wedges, depending on the size you prefer.

Assemble the trees: break each pretzel or cracker stick in half and insert one half into the bottom of each brie wedge to form the “trunk” of the tree. Add toppings: dip the cut surface of the brie in honey, then roll or press it into the chopped pistachios (or your choice of nuts for a different texture) so they stick and create a festive “decorated tree” effect.

Serve: arrange your Brie Christmas Trees on a platter and serve immediately. These are best eaten at room temperature so the brie is soft and creamy.

Enjoy and happy holidays!
